The article discusses the issue of one of the effective linguodidactic principle and method of teaching the interaction and relationship of a phrase and a sentence. The linguistic foundations of this principle, the interaction and relationship of the phrase and the sentence are substantiated. To study morphology on a syntactic basis, a syntactic base is created in the propaedeutic course of syntax in grade 5, due to which the syntactic nature of many morphological categories can be more deeply assimilated, words of different parts of speech are activated in speech as components of a phrase and members of a sentence, and not as separate ones.
