The impact of the pandemic on tourism Development: New trends and anti-crisis measures

Abstract

The article analyzes the main trends in the development of tourism, which have become relevant in the conditions ofpandemic coronavirus. Anti-crisis measures forsupport of the industry in a difficult period and the experience of countering the spread of COVID-19 are considered on the examples of six large tourist regions (macroregions) are most often distinguished.It was revealed that these countries have taken severe restrictions on the development of external tourism. The main strategy of states is to rely on internal recreational opportunities of the country. International tourism recovery is projected to be slow and uneven afteropening borders. The necessity of updating the integration processes in the field of tourism is substantiated on the basis of not only mutual benefitjoint development, but also mutual responsibility, crisis preparedness and managementby them. The research results can be used in the development or adjustmentconceptual, strategic and programmatictourism development documents both at the national and regional levels, especially inpostform period.
