The article discusses the methods of ensuring the cognitive perception of students of educational materials with artistic and aesthetic content. Cognitive perception is the most important component of a harmoniously developed personality, and its formation in a child can be considered as the most important task of modern society. The area of research carried out included the main levels and directions of art education. At the same time, the authors took into account those fundamental approaches to the definition of the subject of research itself and related concepts that have been tested recently.
