Abstract

An Empirical study to assess the role of Panchayati Raj Institutions in the tribal health care was carried out in the district Kinnaur. The District has unique feature that it has entire rural population. The purpose of the study was to assess the role of the Panchayati Raj Institutions in the functioning of the health care as per the initiative of National Rural Health Mission. The study revealed the satisfaction of the members of the Gram Panchayats with the present arrangement and functioning of health care institutions.
