A study of spiritual intelligence among graduating students

Abstract

Spiritual intelligence (SI) is connected with the inner life of mind and spirit and their relationship tobeing in the world. The major objective of thisresearchwas to study the relation amongvarious components of spiritual intelligence in graduating students. A total of 146 students across various disciplines were selected using simple random sampling technique. All the subjects were assessed on the Spiritual Intelligence Self Report Inventory (SISRI-24) to analyze the spiritual intelligence of students. The findings of the study revealed that there is moderate relation between Critical Existential Thinkingand other components i.e., Personal Meaning Production, Transcendental Awareness, and Conscious State Expansion of Spiritual Intelligence Self Report Inventory (SISRI-24). The study concluded that there is high level of spiritual intelligence in students irrespective of disciplines that they study.
