Abstract

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and other lung disorders can be prevented by reducing exposure to risk factors. As of 2015, COPD affected about 174.5 million (2.4%) of the global population. Skin condition and its relationship to systemic inflammation in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease noted the differences in several skin biophysical properties and biomarkers of systemic inflammation in COPD patients and may suggest a possible link between low-grade skin inflammation, and the overall skin condition.
