Abstract

Nursing stands as a noble profession that requires unwavering dedication and resilience. However, the inherently high-stress environment often leads to burnout and compromised well-being for nurses. This article sheds light on the significance of self-care practices in sustaining nurses’ overall health and ensuring optimal patient care. It discusses the challenges faced by nurses in prioritizing self-care, the impact of self-care on nurse outcomes and patient care, and evidence-based strategies for adoption of self-care strategies in the profession. This article emphasizes the critical role of self-care for nursing professionals and offers practical strategies to attain a harmonious work-life balance.
