This approach combines the strengths of traditional and modern therapies, aiming to provide comprehensive and patient-centered healthcare. Integrative medicine combines traditional practices, such as herbal medicine and acupuncture, with modern medical interventions, including pharmaceuticals and surgery. It promotes evidence-based practice by integrating scientific research with traditional knowledge. The integration of traditional and modern medicine emphasizes disease prevention, health promotion, and collaborative care among healthcare practitioners from different disciplines. Patient education and empowerment are key components, allowing individuals to make informed decisions about their healthcare. Research and training efforts contribute to the understanding and integration of traditional and modern medicine.
