Spinocerebellar ataxia (SCA) are large complex group of heterogeneous autosomal dominant Neurodegenerative disorders characterised by cerebellar dysfunction caused by expanded CAG repeats encoding a long polyglutamine (PolyQ) stretch have been shown to cauae dominating inherited SCA1, SCA2, SCA3, SCA6, SCA7, SCA17. the medicinal plants and their extract for treatment and management of Spinocerebellar ataxia Paeonia lactiflora, Gardenia jasminoides were are reported. The article reviews is an attempt to compile and documented information on different aspect of medicinal plant with potent for treat to Spinocerebellar ataxia.
