The objective of this study was to develop effective buccal tablets of Sumatriptan Succinate. Tablets of Sumatriptan Succinate were prepared by direct compression method using bioadhesive polymers like Poloxamer188, β-CD, HPMC K4M. Buccal tablets were prepared by taking polymers in different ratios. The formulation F9 showed maximum drug release (98.92%) in 8 hrs. It was considered as optimized formulation.
