Viruses frequently cause throat infections. The most frequent culprit is one of the viruses that cause the common cold, such as the respiratory syncytial virus, adenovirus, influenza virus, or rhinovirus. The most popular sore throat remedies are tablets and gargles. Chewable tablets are flexible dosage forms that provide several benefits, such as the capacity to give medications orally without the need of water, convenience of swallowing, and the stability benefits of solid dosage forms. The chewable tablet was created utilizing the wet granulation process with a variety of disintegrants, wetting agents, glidants, and lubricants in varying concentrations. Several formulations were created, and the best formulation was chosen after evaluations for appearance, hardness, thickness, friability, dissolution, disintegration, and percentage drug release, among other pharmaceutical factors. The formulation that was chosen has strong medicinal properties. Overall, it was determined that the findings of this study met all the requirements for chewable tablets and were therefore superior. The study finds that curcumin, acetaminophen, and ascorbic acid chewable tablets can be successfully formulated by wet granulation using crospovidone as super disintegrant and Poloxamer 407 as wetting agent. This method may increase patient compliance, ease of administration, therapeutic effectiveness, and better mouth feel, making the formulation suitable for sore throat, diabetic, and non-diabetic patients.
