Abstract

The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation literature suggests diverse critical factors affecting the success of an ERP system. On the other hand, there is a lack of empirical analysis about the moderated relationship of ERP implementation stage between critical success factors (CSFs) and ERP implementation success (IS), particularly in India. With an online survey, this study investigates a model of ERP implementation success. In total, 223 manufacturing firms completed the questionnaires on CSFs and implementation success of the ERP system. The results from a Structural Equation Modeling using Analysis of Moments Structures (SEM AMOS) of the data found that CSFs and IS contributed to address organizational, technical and project management CSFs that arise during ERP implementation. Through this study, it has been found that the implementation stage influences the relationships between CSFs and IS. The results of the study offer some suggestions for the organization and project management of ERP implementation.
