Indian Finance Minister recently announced the IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) compliance date for Indian Companies. However, the IFRS transition date for Indian Banks is not yet announced. This article gives author's view point on likely effective date for IFRS Transition for Indian Banks and the key areas the Indian Banks need to Focus-on, on their journey towards IFRS Compliance.
