Trading on the financial markets over the internet by means of a system for carrying out transactions with the help of a particular internet-based programme; it has very recently become the most prevalent way of working. Majority of the stock exchanges implemented internet/online trading to feasible the investors for better investment opportunities. NSE became the first exchange to grant approval to its members for providing Internet based trading services in India. This paper is an attempt to contrast the growth patterns of internet trading in the capital segment, currency derivatives and futures & options segment of NSE over five years from 2009 to 2014 on monthly basis.
