Abstract

This paper based on the study of Allahabad bank with special reference to human resource practices and work - life balance. The researchers have surveyed 271 employees of Allahabad bank in Jabalpur Zone of Madhya Pradesh, to know the better policies under HRP and WLB in the bank. This paper deals work – life balance as a dependent variable and human resource practices as a an independent variable. The correlation between two independent variable was calculated. The result of Carl Pearson correlation revealed that there is moderate relationship between these two variables in terms of the employees of Allahabad bank. This means the changes in one variable are moderately correlated with the changes in the second variable.. Here the Pearson's r is 0.420 at 0.01 (2- tailed). This number is not very close to 1 but is near to the midpoint of correlation coefficient value (0.5) that is why considered as moderate relation. For this reason, we can conclude and reject our null hypothesis that there is a moderate positive relationship between HR practices and Work Life Balance. That means, increases or decreases in one variable significantly relate to increases or decreases in your second variable. Improvement/decline in HR practices will significantly improve/decline the work life balance of the employees.
