According to the natural characteristics of our country (Iran), locating on seismic plate and steep mountains in some areas, the occurrence of natural disasters is inevitable. People's donations, as a part of their partnership, can play the most important role in decreasing and confronting with probable disasters which consist of different sorts of donations such as cash, stuff, etc. In this paper we investigate the willingness of people to donate money and the effect of economic factors like employment, income, etc. on their donation is analyzed and evaluated. For this purpose, a field study was applied which consists of 900 questionnaire fulfillments. Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) and the Logit Model are used respectively for the estimation of willingness to pay and the analysis of CVM results. In this questionnaire, the question of CVM was two dimension twofold. The results indicate that more than 41 percent of the respondents agree on the recommended amount and The mean willingness to pay (WTP) for those who answered “yes” to the CVM question is 104113,4 Tomans. According to estimated marginal effects, income had the most noticeable impacts on the willingness to pay. These results can have an important role in the rescue process of the natural disasters and managing the shortages caused by natural disasters in the affected areas.
