This article is focused on how providing free internet access for using UPI (Unified Payment Interface) apps (applications) may increase their usage and how we can reach a cashless economy at the earliest. This study also addresses the issue of Net Neutrality and how it becomes irrelevant in the case of UPI apps when all UPI apps are free to use. It discusses the benefits of cashless economy and a problem which may face in a cashless economy. This article will be helpful to build a discussion among public and government on why internet access should be free for using UPI apps.
