Services rendered by public sector banks for the promotion of micro entrepreneurs in Tirunelveli district

Finance is the life blood of any business. So it becomes necessary for the entrepreneurs to approach financial institutions when need arises. In this regard Public Sector Banks extend their maximum support to Micro Entrepreneurs by providing various services such as deposit account service, ATM service, Internet- banking service, Instrumental service, etc. The main objective of this paper is to analyse the services rendered by Public Sector Banks for the promotion of Micro Enterprises in Tirunelveli District. Stratified random sampling method was adopted to obtain responses from 612 Micro Entrepreneurs in Tirunelveli District. The present study was based on primary data. Interview schedule was used to collect the primary data from the sample respondents.
