Aluminium doped copper nickel zinc spinel ferrites with the particles size 5 nm-35 nm were synthesized by wet chemical co-precipitation method. Thermal analysis illustrates dehydration (around 100°C) and complete oxidation of precursors (around 450°C). All precursor samples sintered at 600°C. X-ray diffraction studies confirmed the single phase cubic spinel structure. IR absorption shown low frequency bands assigned to octahedral site and high frequency bands to tetrahedral site of ferrites corresponding stretching vibrations. Microstructure studies from SEM and TEM observed that the prepared samples are amorphous and porous in nature. Nanocrystalline particles observed were in the range 5–35 nm. Hysteresis loop of the synthesized ferrites at room temperature were studied to find saturation magnetization and magnetic moment.
