Abstract

Science, technology and engineering are today in the midst of deep scientific vision and vast scientific ingenuity. The science of environmental pollution control and nanomaterials are in the similar vision needs to be re-envisioned with the passage of deep scientific history and time. Integrated water resource management and integrated wastewater management also are in the path of newer scientific discernment and redemption. The authors deeply elucidates the need of nanomaterials, engineered nanomaterials, solid waste management and the application areas of nanotechnology in drinking water and industrial wastewater treatment. Heavy metal and arsenic groundwater contamination is a burning global issue. The author also highlights the recent advancements in the field of nanotechnology in water and wastewater treatment. Scientific grit, determination and perseverance in the field of solid waste management are the utmost needs of the hour. The authors thus targets the visionary frontiers of MXenes and waste management. Thus a newer and remarkable dawn in human civilization will surely evolve if there is a concerted effort in waste management from academicians, scientists, researchers, policy makers and civil society across the world. The author with deep and cogent insight describes the vast importance of MXenes, solid waste management and nanomaterials in the true emanicipation of global research and development initiatives in environmental engineering science, chemical process engineering and the vast and visionary world of MXenes. The authors with deep scientific insight and lucidity treads a long path in the field of application of MXenes in different areas of water and wastewater treatment. Surely a newer dawn in the field of nanomaterials and engineered nanomaterials will evolve if human mankind and science pursues the threshold areas of MXenes and nanomaterials in drinking water and industrial wastewater treatment.
