In the present study, a reverse phase high performance liquid chromatographic method was developed and validated for the determination of Rasagiline in tablet dosage form with the use of Caffeine as an internal standard. Chromatographic separation was carried out on a RP-18 column using a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile: isopropyl alcohol: water (10:20:70, v/v/v) adjusted at pH 2.5 with o-phosphoric acid (1%). The flow rate was maintained at 0.8 ml min−1 and UV detection was measured at 210 nm. The calibration curve was linear over the range 1–200μgml−1. R.S.D. for precision was <3%. The results of accuracy study was observed in the range of 95.16% to 102.24% with R.S.D. < 3%. LOD and LOQ were found to be 0.4044μgml−1 and 1.2133μgml−1, respectively. The method was simple, rapid, and easy to apply, making it suitable for routine analysis of Rasagiline in tablet dosage form.
