Abstract

4-substituted acetanilide on treatment with substituted benzaldehyde affords the corresponding chalcones (C13-C24). Further treatment of chalcones with phenylhydrazine undergone cyclocondensation and gave a new series of novel 3, 5-Diaryl-1-aryl-2-pyrazoline (P13-P24). All synthesized compounds were screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activity at 75μg concentration and anti-inflammatory activity at 200mg/kg body weight. Some of the compounds have shown excellent activity.
