The synthesis of 4-isobutylhydrotropoylamino acids (12–17), dipeptide methyl ester (18–71), dipeptide (72–125) and their corresponding hydrazides (126–179) is described. All the synthesized compounds were found to be active against some of the tested micro organisms and fungi.
