Abstract

Marriage is a fundamental part of society, a source of pleasure and entertainment and a new beginning. However, one of the longest shadows of marriage-related evil from the perspective of a woman within Indian culture is that the Dowry framework. Attempts to address these issues by legally prohibiting the drafting legislation have resulted in no reduction in the power or violence against women. On the contrary, very different interpretations of the footprint are often found within the systematic anthropology, economics, and humanities that combine many forms of resilience and evidence to support effective models of elevation as a legacy or investment for their daughters and or children. An increasing number of bride-to-be or bridegroom killings have been reported to be from India. With the help of education and raising awareness among people we can curb this practice and help make India a better place to live for everyone.
