Abstract

Water not only a basic need of human life it is also important for survival of life for all human being. Therefore, qualitative and adequate supply of water is important. But, both the qualitative and adequate supply of water is biggest problems in front of policy makers across the world including India. In this study we have analysed the issues and challenges of water management in India and we found that the water demand will we exceed the usable water in India by 2050. Thus, GOI should ensure at large scale people participation in water management without any delay with the help of all groups of community.
