The purpose of the study was to find out the effect of callisthenic exercises, aerobic dancing and combination of callisthenic and aerobic dancing on selected physical fitness variables of male adolescents. Total 120 high schools boys, randomly assigned to four groups, between the ages of 13 to 15 years were selected as subjects for this study. In order to find out the effect of twelve weeks callisthenic exercises, aerobic exercises and combination of callisthenic and aerobic exercises on body composition impedance fat analysis was utilised. Prior to the administration of test the subjects were given necessary instruction and orientation about the conduct of the test. The analysis of covariance (ANCOVA) was employed to compare the significance of difference from pre to post test among the experimental and control groups followed by post hoc test, wherever the F-value was found significant. The level of significance chosen was 0.05. On the basis of the present cross sectional investigation it was concluded that the aerobic exercises were found more effective in improving the lean body mass and decrease in the body fat compared to the combination of aerobics and calisthenics and calisthenics alone.
