Power crisis, load shedding schedule IT's impact on consumers

India faces endemic electrical energy and peaking shortages. The Power Sector is plagued with mounting commercial losses due to various inefficiencies, colossal commercial and technical losses and increasing subsidy burden on the states. These shortages have had a very detrimental effect on the overall economic growth of the country.

On eve of this situation this paper analyze the condition of power in our state, especially Davangere city with special reference with the two extensions is, P.J. Extention and Vinoba Nagara, both areas have good number of residential and commercial power connections.

This paper “Bangalore Power Supply Company” (BESCOM): Power crisis, load shedding schedules and its impacts on consumers in Vinoba Nagara and P.J. Extention, trys to understand the amount of burden on consumers due to loss of power in high usage timings investment on others power back ups like UPS, Generators and the loss of productivity due to the insufficient supply of power by BESCOM.

In this paper further make an analysis of consumers on basis of there income level and occupation wise to get information on diverse usages of power in those areas.
