Abstract

This study has been conducted with an objective to analyze the level of knowledge regarding various investment avenues and present investment policies of senior college teachers in Satara District. A sample of 460 respondents was selected from various higher education institutions in Satara District. This study highlights the important sources of information that the respondents used to make their investment decisions. Further the study revealed that a majority of the respondents had invested in Post Office Saving Schemes, Bank Deposits, Systematic Investments Plans, Employment Provident Fund, Company Sponsored Fixed Deposits, Real Estates and also in Gold and Silver.
