Abstract

The tourism sector in India has great potential. The annual turnover form the Indian tourism industry is around Rs 22000 crores. Even though the international tourism sector is experiencing recession, it has not affected India. There are critical challenges that are negatively dictating and adversely affecting the competitiveness of the industry particularly in areas of CSR. This article sincerely aims to identify the challenges in CSR facing the tourism industry and suggest some recommendations.
