Abstract

India being thickly populated nation attracts large number of multinationals and transnational's for marketing their products here. With the increase in the standard of living of its people the spending habits of Indians have been growing in geometrical proportions. Indians basically highly emotional people, have lot of attachment for their children. Major portion of their income is year-marked for their children's overall growth and desire. Thus, the knowledge of teenagers buying behavior is imperative for the marketers in the Indian market. Unfortunately, in India we do not come across any comprehensive research on teenagers’ buying behavior. In India, Bangalore being a silicon city attracts youth for IT, ITes, Services sector in large numbers. Earnings of youth are relatively high in Bangalore city. Hence, the mega retailers of the world market along with the mega, medium and small retailers are growing in their numbers and in their size.
