The successful implementation of RTE Act, 2009 is a big challenge. The act and its provisions cannot be examined separately from other hosts of social aspects. The issues of poverty, need and right, child labour, school drop -out, infrastructure, backlog teachers and quality teaching, problems faced by tribal and under privileged children shall also be taken into account. The gap in between what is in paper and what is in practice shall also be examined and bridged. This can be possible with the strong political will of the govt. and public support.
