Abstract

The present study is to explain the concept of Good Governance by identifying the essential of the good governance. Good governance means securing justice, empowerment, employment and ensuring efficient services. Good governance has become an important element of the political and economic agendas, and has meanwhile been better specified along with the proliferation of good practices that take the concept into consideration. The paper also brings light on characteristics of Good Governance and how RTI acts as a key tool to ensure Good Governance. Good governance is associated with efficient and effective administration in a democratic framework. It identifies criminalization of politics and corruption as two major challenges.
