Study on Leadership in Cross-Cultural Era - A Perspective of Indian Managers

Culture is a rich combination of history, traditions, beliefs, and various other economic and technological practices of a society. Cultural diversity has been in existence in our world from time immemorial; awareness of which has become inevitable today. The history of cross-cultural environment dates back to the early 19^th Century, when it emerged as a Social Science. Globalization era has brought with it multiple challenges, opportunities, and greater development prospects. Today we can find two or more organizations coming to together to work on a common objective. When these organizations, that originates from different countries, having different work cultures, come together, there comes along the challenges of cross-cultural environment. The following study is focused upon understanding the leadership challenges faced by a cross-cultural manager, and the influence of demographic factors on their perception of these challenges.
