Abstract

Empowerment and giving latitude to employees is one of the essential policies to enhance performance and ensure survival of today's organizations. Nowadays, empowerment is considered as one of the beneficial tools to better employees and boost organizational effectiveness. In order to prosper in today's changing business environment, organizations need employees’ knowledge, ideas, and creativity. If the requirements for the efflorescence of individual skills are appropriately satisfied, the mentioned possession will demonstrate a better performance and efficiency. One of the most efficient factors in performance improvement of employees is giving them a sense of capability. In this study, a questionnaire was designed and codified to specify the effective factors in the studied statistical population. After determination of the major factors using Minitab software, the factors with the greatest effects on empowerment were specified. Then, Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was used to specify and prioritize the effective factors in empowerment. Prioritization results showed that the factors such as performance-based reward, application of meritocracy, accordance of studied major with job, training, organizational persuasion, job satisfaction, teamwork, and sense of responsiveness respectively have the highest priority in employees empowerment.
