Abstract

Entrepreneur is one who brings new ideas, innovation and starts a new dimension in business. Entrepreneur is the word derived from the French word “entreprendre”. That means undertake. Entrepreneurship helps to improve the rate of economic growth, create more employment opportunities, create modern society, and avoid social inequality. Higgins defines “entrepreneurship as function of seeking investment, production occasion, organize an enterprise to take innovative production process, raising capital, selection of labour, arranging resources and organizing new business”. Nowadays an entrepreneurship is having bright future. Because the developing countries like India is encouraging the entrepreneurship activities. Educational institutions and Government are also help to improve the entrepreneurship with the collaboration of MNC's. With this background the researcher has taken this topic to know the perception towards the problems in enterprising, problems faced by the entrepreneurs. The researcher has selected 200 respondents from in and around Madurai City, Tamilnadu by convenient sampling method and the researcher has used percentage and chi square for achieving the objectives of the study.
