The role of education in facilitating social and economic progress is Basic education gives inputs to the higher education. Higher education creates skilled labour force. Skilled labour can able to earn higher wage. It will cause the improvement of standard of living as well as the growth of the economy. So in 11th Indian planning education is included. On the other hand, the health of a nation is a crucial component of development. It is imperative to the nation's economic growth and internal stability. Assuring a minimal level of health care to the population is a decisive constituent of the development process.
In the backdrop of sustainable development health and education of any economy are main two pillars. Our current paper thus concentrates on expenditure on health and education in India during post reform period with special reference to 11th five Year plan in India.
