Study the Prevalence of Behavior Disorders and Related Factors in Primary School Students

This study aims to determine the prevalence of behavioral disorder and factors associated with in primary school students of Zabol (ages 8 to 12 years). Aim of research is to study the variety of behavioral disorder prevalence among primary school students of Zabol and to examine the relationship between discipline styles and teacher organizational commitment and family characteristics of students with variety of behavioral disorders. The statistical population of the research is primary school students in city of Zabol and population sample of the research is 400 persons selected as a cluster. Research tool was Questionnaire of behavior disorders in children (Rater) form teacher and teacher questionnaires disciplinary style and organizational commitment questionnaire of Allen and Meyer. In this study to analyze data, a single sample t test, independent t, Pearson correlation test and ANOVA tests were used. Results showed the prevalence of behavioral disorder among primary school students are 35 percent in Zabol. The prevalence of behavioral disorder in boys is more than girls. Also findings showed that between incidence of behavioral disorders according to the teacher's disciplinary style there are differences and disciplinary intervention style had the most impact on the prevalence of behavioral disorders, but between teacher organizational commitments and incidence of variety of behavioral disorders, there is no significant relationship. According to the prevalence of behavioral disorders and the effect of the teacher's disciplinary style, it is recommended that teachers in the fields of developmental psychology, behavioral disorders and correct manner of change and behavior modification, have the necessary training. As well as the family education to familiar the parents of children with correct educational principles of behavior with children and recommend social skills need.
