Causative Relationship among Happiness, Interpersonal Skills and Responsibility with Mental Health and Mediating Role of Hope among Students in Islamic Azad University-Izeh Branch

This study aims to investigate relationship among causative variables happiness, interpersonal skills and responsibility between mental health and mediating hope in students of Islamic Azad University in Ize. For this purpose, 346 students were selected by multi-stage cluster sampling form different disciplines. This research has used these questionnaires to measure variables: 1) mental health questionnaire with 25 questions (scl-25); 2) Miller hope questionnaire; 3) Axford happiness questionnaire; 4) responsibility questionnaire; 5) interpersonal relations questionnaire adapted from Barron emotional intelligence questionnaire. Descriptive statistics, simple Pearson correlation and path analysis were used in this study to analyze data and determine causative relationship among variables. Results showed that there is an indirect significant relationship between happiness, interpersonal skills and responsibility with hope. In other words, mental health can play mediator role and decrease varies effects of happiness, interpersonal skills and responsibility.
