The Evaluation of the Effects of Post Modernism on Feminism

In 1980s, postmodernism developed a stable theory to the existing discourses. The second wave feminism before post modernism presented prescriptive concepts of what a woman should be or should not to be. Post-modern feminists (post feminists) considered the different, flexible and ethical and culturally relative conceptual discrimination of the meaning of feminine. The new approach (relativism) was based on the fact that the feminists in attempted to collaborate with the third world women considering the cultural features. The present study evaluated the mutual relations of post modernism and feminism and concluded that feminism is opposed to the holistic narration of man and woman and like post modernism is disagreed with any absolute framework system and considered them as social environment of human beings in each historical period. Here, post modernism is similar to feminism but as feminism at first presented an absolute definition of femininity with modernism indices, it became different from post modernism.
