An Approach to Educational Psychology of Religion in Childhood (Kindergartens in Yazd, Iran)

The present investigation is a practical and survey study and aims to examine the association with principles of teaching religious concepts through common methods. Therefore, a researcher-made questionnaire in terms of a five option Likert scale was applied. A pilot study was conducted and after some modifications by educational sciences experts, was used for the final administration. The population consists of all girl and boy schools and kindergartens in yazd and parent of children aged 5–9 were randomly selected to complete the questionnaires. The Cronbach's alpha was a means for measurement of reliability. The Cronbach's α= 0.86, which is reasonable. The obtained results indicate that giving examples, storytelling, recalling and display are appropriate methods for teaching religious concepts to children with coefficients.258,.365,.491 and.561 respectively. Also, the rating training methods of religion concepts indicated that in the parents’ viewpoint giving example, display, recalling and storytelling method are ranked 1 to 4.
