The Future of Food and Beverage Outlets: A Study on the Impact of Tourism in Increasing Revenue for F&B Outlets in Jalandhar

The current paper deals with the impact of tourism in increasing revenues for food and beverage outlets in Jalandhar and to assess the future prospects of food and beverage outlets in Jalandhar with regard to tourism. The aim of this paper is to find out the economic impact of tourism on food and beverage business in Jalandhar, what are the new trends in food and beverage sector in Jalandhar due to tourism, and finally to assess the future prospects of food and beverage outlets in Jalandhar with regard to tourism. The study was limited to the hotels that food and beverage facilities in Jalandhar. The respondents were 45 food and beverage staff members in various hotels of Jalandhar. A Likert scale questionnaire with five scales was designed for data collection. Data was analyzed by using SPSS software. Each question was analyzed separately, and a frequency table and a bar chart were generated for every question. The findings of the research indicate that there is a good scope for the future, since the food &beverage outlets revenue in Jalandhar is expected to grow in coming years.
