Abstract

In order to investigation of different levels of boron on yield and yield components of canola cultivars in gelid Region an experiment was conducted using a split plot based on complete block design with four replication in 2010–11 growing season. Four cultivars (Talaye, Opra, Okapi and Likord) as main plot and four levels of boron (Control, 20, 40 and 80 kg/ha) as subplot was applied. Results showed that effect of cultivar was significant on all traits except for boron concentration and effect of boron levels was significant on all traits except for harvest index and 1000 seed weight. Highest of seed number per pod (15), seed yield (4454 kg/ha) and oil yield (1387 kg/ha) produced by okapi cultivar using 40 kg/ha boron. Highest of oil percent (37.4%) was produced by likord cultivar using 80 kg/ha boron. Generally, application of 20 and 40 kg/ha boron was not significant, therefore okapi cultivar with application of 20 kg/ha boron recommended in the same conditions.
