Waiting For Godot: A Fable of Life’ aims to compare life with this issue of endless wait and struggle of man, which is being discussed by the play ‘Waiting for Godot’ by Beckett. It highlights that life is the name of a constant struggle with illusions of meeting the destination. Godot here can be taken as a symbol of that destination (purpose of life) which is never achieved in this mortal life. Vladimir and Estragon are the representatives of humanity and its assumptions. The play is not essentially absurdist and is capable enough to portray the life in its true sense. It gives an image of a loosely constructed fable with the notions of its characters, as they are waiting for a miracle to happen in the form of Godot. With the inactive actions and absence of movement, the play represents the patterns of the life of an individual in this world; this makes it a fable of life and existence.
