Abstract

The current study aimed to investigate the relationship between work engagement and occupational burnout with organizational citizenship behaviour of the staff of bank of Sepah in 2012. The current study was a correlative. The studying sample in the study included 260 people who were selected among all the staff of bank of Sepah of Isfahan in 2012 by the systematic stratified random sampling method. The tools used in the study were Utrecht Work Engagement Scale, Maslach burnout Inventory and Podsakoff et al organizational citizenship behaviour questionnaire (1990). Pierson's correlation coefficient, a multiple regression with step by step method, t test and one-way variance analysis were used to analyse data. The results showed that there is a significant relationship among all the aspects of work engagement and occupational burnout with organizational citizenship behavior. The step by step regression results showed that occupational burnout and work engagement predicted the organizational citizenship behavior. Also, the results of t test and one-way variance analysis indicated that there is no significant relationship between sociological variables (age, education, work experience and gender) and organizational citizenship behavior.
