A Survey on Entrepreneurs’ Quality of Life in Kashan, Iran

Abstract

The objective of entrepreneurship is an issue that entrepreneurs, as well as members of entrepreneurial groups, have always considered and highly attempted to achieve. An individual or group entrepreneur's quality of activities may determine the manner of attaining the objectives emerged from a new thought or plan to offer new products or services. This paper intends to study the entrepreneurs’ quality of life in Kashan, Iran. Methodology: It employs a descriptive analytical method. In this study, 20 entrepreneurs were randomly selected in Kashan and were asked to complete the SF-36 Quality-of-Life Questionnaire. Then, the data were analyzed by SPSS Software with descriptive statistical tests on mean and standard deviation. Findings: Research findings indicate that the obtained mean and standard deviation are respectively 28.15 and 2.110% for physical performance; 7.35 and 1.040% for physical health constraints; 5.05 and 1.276% for emotional constraints; 14.35 and 1.182% for fatigue or cheerfulness; 19.70 and 1.750% for affective health; 6.10 and 1.210% for social performance; 3.75 and 1.552% for pain rate; and 14.70 and 1.593% for general health. Conclusion: Among the subscales of entrepreneurs’ quality of life in this research, physical performance, affective health, and general health had the maximum rates respectively.
