Entrepreneurship is vital to a vibrant, growth-oriented economy, and this is no less true in India, where the economy has grown sharply since the reforms of the early 1990s. In the present economic situation entrepreneurship is important as it helps in job creation.
The study of this research paper is to understand that how the youth are shifting their base of preferences from job to self employment. The study is based on the inclination of the students towards entrepreneurship, people choose entrepreneurial careers because of the perceived greater economic and psychological rewards than regular employment. The research indicates that most of the youth considers that entrepreneurship is above the job security and entrepreneurs should be ready to accept the changing market situations. The entrepreneur is required to organize all the resources required for the venture and both risks and rewards are associated with the venture.
