The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial orientation. It is a descriptive and correlational research and an applied research due to its objective. The statistical population of this study consists of all staff and administrators of Islamic Azad University, Nishabur branch. The sample size includes 59 individuals which determined by simple random sampling method. Data related to emotional intelligence were collected by Shearing's Emotional Intelligence questionnaire and data related to entrepreneurial orientation by a researcher-designed questionnaire. Results of data analysis using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics, and Pearson correlation coefficient were calculated by SPSS software. Ultimately, the results showed that, in general, there is a significant and positive relationship between emotional intelligence and entrepreneurial orientation. As well there is a significant and positive relationship between personal competencies, self-awareness, self-management and self-motivation variables and entrepreneurial orientation. But it was not found a significant relationship between social competencies, social awareness and social skills variables and entrepreneurial orientation.
