For determining various climatic parameters, we used temperature and precipitation as two factors which are the indicating indices for the climate of an area. These two factors change permanently and their fluctuation is affected by different human and natural phenomena. The fact is that the effect of the number of sun spots on the fluctuation of precipitin plays a significant role. So in this study, for determining the effect of the sun spots on Iran's annual precipitation, we chose the statistical period from 1950 to 2005 and we examined Iran's 180 cyanotic and climatology stations. But before that, Iran was divided into six precipitation clusters by cluster analysis method and the relationship between annual precipitin of each cluster and 11 years of moving average of sun spots has been evaluated by Pearson correlation. This paper presents a direct relationship between precipitation in cluster 1, 5, 6 and sun spot's fluctuations and it also displays a meaningful relationship between precipitation in cluster 3 and the number of sunspots. Therefore even if a meaningful relation can be seen between changes in the number of spots with precipitation change in some of climate precipitation clusters, but it does not mean that the only effective factor on the fluctuation of these two factors is sun activities. So the changes of the factors must be studied to determine its relation with different factors and a systemic view point. By validating the result of this study, we can resemble the drought and humid period affected by sun activities for future decades, and based on this resemblance we can manage different areas such as providing water for agriculture food security in agricultural products, supplying water resources, … to reach necessary predictions for declining challenges.
