Makeup in recent years was associated as rituals with many details and logistics and special consumption expenditure and it has found wide popularity as well. How bride and grooms interpreting makeup on their wedding celebration, also which reasons encourages them in performing this rituals consumption, is a basic question in current article.
To answer these questions, interpretive paradigm and qualitative methods were selected, because the understanding and interpretation of these actions and experiences requires that researcher come close to the individuals and be aware of their mental world and the meanings that they give to makeup ritual. Data required for this research have been obtained through in-depth interviews with 17 bride and grooms that have married during five past years and held their wedding celebration. Conducted interviews have been implemented and then were coded and analyzed with thematic analysis technique. Obtained themes indicated that brides consider these actions especially important for some reasons includes; audience importance, wanting distinction, aesthetic, displaying identity, ritual sociability and create styles. Also this action is an exception for grooms and it has a transient and sectional importance, they do this just because of the same special event and it doesn't have much importance and sensitivity for them.
