Environmental Management: A Policy Framework in India

Abstract

Environmental management has emerged as one of the principle agenda of 21st century. Rapid growth of production with a set of finite availability of resources, innovations of new and better technologies, emergence of new pollutant and their ever changing nature, increasing population and trans boundary nature of pollution has necessitated the creation of a strong policy framework to tackle this challenging task. In this paper we have made an attempt to provide a comprehensive view of prevalent policy framework for environmental management in India.
